Steel #5: Maylee Nadaud

I’m a dedicated student-athlete who’s passionate about competing at the highest level both on the field and in the classroom. Throughout high school, I’ve challenged myself academically by taking Honors and College Credit Plus courses to maintain a strong GPA and prepare for success at the collegiate level.

I play club soccer for Soccer Vision Academy (SVA), coached by Greg Mitchell and Anthony James, where I’ve had the opportunity to compete across the U.S. and help lead my team to Nationals in Colorado twice. Playing for SVA, I’ve earned multiple tournament wins and championship titles, including the Jefferson Cup, Fall Capital Classic (WV), Ohio State Cup, and NPL Championship.

Our team won the NPL League, which qualified us for Nationals in Colorado, where we went undefeated throughout the entire tournament and finished as National Finalists after an incredible run.

In addition to my experience with SVA, I’ve also had the opportunity to play for other elite programs such as BVB West Virginia, which has allowed me to compete at high levels and gain valuable experience against top players and teams across the country. I’m also part of the Ohio Olympic Development Program (ODP) State Team and was honored to be invited to the regional level. Being part of ODP it as given me the chance to train and play alongside some of the best players in the Midwest Region

This is my third year being invited to play in the Steel Valley Showcase, which has been an incredible privilege. I’ve earned several recognitions throughout my career, including Steel Valley Soccer Player of the Game (2023), All-SVS 2nd Team (2023), SVS Elite 11 (2024), and multiple Showcase Team Wins (2023 & 2024). I was also selected as Team Captain for both the 2024 and 2025 high school seasons.

Before transferring to John F. Kennedy High School, I played for Champion High School, where I helped make school history—reaching the Regional Final as a freshman, going undefeated, and earning District Champion and Regional Runner-Up titles. This was the furthest either the boys’ or girls’ soccer programs had ever advanced. I’ve continued to help bring success to every program I’ve played for—Champion was District Runner-Up in 2024, and Kennedy finished as the #2 seed and District Runner-Up in 2025.

Across my high school career so far, I’ve recorded 72 goals and 35 assists in 51 games, with a team record of 42-7-2.

Off the field, I stay active in my church and youth group and have been involved in several school leadership and community programs. My faith, academics, and work ethic are very important to me, and they’re a big reason I chose Kennedy—it’s a school that values both academic excellence and athletic success.

I take pride in being a scholar-athlete who plays with intensity, leadership, and heart. Success motivates me, and I’m excited to keep growing, pushing myself, and bringing that same energy and drive to the next level
